The band originally started a little over a year ago. Blaine Davis was getting into guitar and started looking for people to form a band. He turned to long time friend scott wheeling for help. Scott agreed, but didnt know how to play any intruments. The two started looking around their school for more musicians. Ben Damewood, a friend of Blaine and Scott, was hired to play drums. A new kid named Julian Sandridge moved from across town to their school. He had been playing guitar for about 2 years, and agreed to play lead guitar. Scott bought a bass and Blaine taught him how to play, and the band was set. In this line-up, the band practiced twice and played a cover of Black Sabbath's "Paranoid" at their school's talent show. The show went well, and the 4 never got back together to practice for the rest of the school year. Over the summer, Julian and Blaine became much more involved in music. Both of their musical talents were shaping up faster and faster. In November of 2004, they decided to get back together. Julian had written many riffs, but his first actual song was a fast Irish sounding tune. Blaine messed around with some drumbeats and they started playing the song together. They called up scott, but ben could not be contacted. They wanted to get things going very soon, so they recruited another long time friend Derek Milliron to play drums. Scott's heart was not in his bass guitar, so he switched to vocals and Blaine bought his own bass. The band had their first practice in this setup, where they played julian's irish sounding song to test their compatability. Blaine improvised a bassline that fit well, and Derek thought up his own drum beat. They rehearsed the song over and over, and recorded a rough demo version of the song. They called it "The Irish Jam". Since then, the band has written about 10 other songs. They also rehearse 3 or 4 cover songs mainly for warm up purposes, but some may be played at live shows. Evan Fisher, a childhood friend of Julian who also studied with the same guitar teacher, now provides additional guitars. Scott was recently let go from The Vigilant. His heart was not in to it as much as needed. There is no bad blood between any of the rest of the members, who still hang out with him all the time.
